Cardboard Needed!

The 3/4's have found inspiration in many places this year - Salva's story and passion to set up a foundation to build water wells in South Sudan, and Caine's passion to create something from nothing.

Students are asked to bring in cardboard for their own creations, which will then be used to collect donations in support of creating access to clean water. All planning and building will happen at school. More information will follow as we get further into the project.

Its Literacy Week!

Today we had the opportunity to practice our literacy skills by reading others' shirts. Its amazing how much of our clothing has words written on them!

We also had our first DEAR time. Tomorrow we have another opportunity to Drop Everything And Read, so bring your book from home or use one of the ones at school.

Arts Commons Field Study

In two weeks we will be going on our week-long field study at the Hub - Arts Commons. We will be preparing by practicing our journalling skills, individualized sustained focus, and understanding what learning looks like away from the classroom.

We are still in need of at least 2 volunteers for Monday, January 20, as we do not have anyone signed up yet for this first day. It is imperative to have volunteers for all these days, or we will have to condense our experience into 4 days.

This trip is coming up soon, and we are so excited!
